Mrs. Sylvie Garon has been a partner at Mazars Harel Drouin since 2003. She joined the firm's tax department in 1985 after obtaining a Master of Taxation issued by the University of Sherbrooke. She works in tax consultation for small and medium-sized companies and their shareholders
She has been invited to give lectures in taxation for the Association of Tax and Financial Planning and other organizations. She has taught corporate taxation in the Masters program in taxation at the University of Sherbrooke in Montérégie. She has also coauthored articles on various tax topics.
She is a member of the Ordre des CGA du Québec and the “Ordre des comptables en management accrédités de Québec”. She is also a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation (CTF) and the Association of Tax and Financial Planning (ATFP). She is also a member on the editorial board of Tax Flash since it was established in 1992.
