A chartered Accountant since 1988 and holder of a master’s degree in taxation since 2006, Guy Carbonneau joined Harel Drouin & Associates, LLP in 1996 - now known as Mazars Harel Drouin, LLP and was named a tax partner in January 2008. Since 2009, Guy Carbonneau has been a partner at Mazars, Integrated International Partnership.
He is a member of the Association of Tax and Financial Planning (ATFP) and of the Canadian Tax Foundation. Since 2008 he has acted as a President of Committee for strategic review at ATFP and he has given lectures at the same association.
Before starting his career in taxation, he worked 12 years in audit. With his extensive experience, his areas of expertise include corporate restructuring, the financial sector, tax credits for scientific research and experimental development.
